The Heart Things Box

People will forget what you said. They will forget what you did.
But they will never forget.  How you made them feel.

I am moving in less than a month, and I decided to organize the boxes in my home so that when I get to my new home everything will have a place, well almost everything.  I had started to make a special box of things from my past that made me feel good.  I finished the inside of the box today, as well found the poem from above inside (LOVE IT).  So I decided to explain seven of the things that make me feel good to possible inspire someone else to make a Heart Things Box.  (1) Notepad that Erin and I made for her dad. We photographed the dog and made a calendar and notepad for a Christmas present.  He absolutely loved it and it reminds me to do special things for special people in my life. (2)  Erin made this for me and inside it says - owl always be there for you. This is always a good reminder to look at.  (3)  These are layers and layers of photographs that are of images that I took as well as friends and family.  These images I wrapped in a Believe ribbon. I have to believe in me first.  (4) This is a cute box with a toy camera inside, my last initial of my maiden name, and a set of marriage no worries dolls - just what I need. (5)  Ok so you are probably thinking what is this... It is a Wisconsin cow that I received while I was overseas in Iraq. I opened the package and it brought me back home.  I love this stuffed animal it always makes me realize how amazing Wisconsin is.  We are so blessed and privileged. (6) A belt buckle that I bought in Iraq and have worn it to many familiar occasions.  This buckle represents how one little thing can make everything else so much fun... from compliments, to conversations  this belt buckle gave me a little taste of country.  (7)  The ribbon is attached to a medal that I received after completing my first half marathon.  Wow... what a day, you can push your body to do amazing things.  LAST but not least, below all of these things are cards of thank yous and wishes that I have received over the years that inspire me, make me cry, laugh, and remind me how truly special I am. So I hope this was fun! I challenge you to make your own heart things box.- Love Liz
